Sanyo Industries Acquires All Shares of Tamai Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Strengthens Manufacturing Base in the Kanto Region Through Its Largest-Ever M&A Deal

Sanyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture; Representative Director: Naoyuki Inoue; hereinafter “Sanyo Kogyo”) acquired all shares of Tamagai Seisakusho Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo Ward, Tokyo; hereinafter “Tamagai Seisakusho”) effective September 30, 2026, making it a group company.
Founded in 1938, Tamagai Seisakusho is a manufacturer specializing in the machining of engine and suspension parts for trucks. This transaction marks the largest M&A deal Sanyo Industries has undertaken to date and is intended to strengthen its manufacturing base in the Kanto region.

■ A Specialized Manufacturer of Truck Parts Established in 1938
Tamei Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was founded in 1938. Headquartered in Tsukuda, Chuo Ward, Tokyo, the company has been engaged in the machining of truck engine and suspension parts at its two main factories in Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Samukawa Town, Koza District. By consistently delivering high quality and reliability, the company has earned the trust of clients who support Japan’s automotive industry.With a capital of 45 million yen and a technical team of 106 employees, the company has long provided behind-the-scenes support for Japanese manufacturing.
■A New Beginning as Part of the Sanyo Industries Group
With the formation of the group, Katsutoshi Futagawa, General Manager of Sanyo Industries’ Shonan Plant, has been appointed Representative Director. Going forward, the various divisions of the Sanyo Industries Group will collaborate to provide support in the areas of business operations, talent acquisition, and management. Additionally, to strengthen our support system for human resources, we plan to assign employees on secondment from Sanyo Industries.The entire Sanyo Kogyo Group will support Tamei Seisakusho in passing on its technical expertise and strengthening its on-site capabilities.
■ Future Outlook
Sanyo Kogyo will leverage the expertise in “sales, recruitment, retention, and training” cultivated through its HR business, along with the on-site capabilities developed in its manufacturing operations, to support Tamei Seisakusho’s continued growth and the succession of its technical expertise.
As a result of this initiative, Tamai Manufacturing will become the Sanyo Kogyo Group’s second manufacturing base in the Kanto region and the Group’s largest manufacturing facility. We aim to strengthen our manufacturing network in the Kanto region, leading to enhanced competitiveness and sustainable growth for the entire Group.
