■Background of the Implementation

In Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, the city had traditionally operated by issuing each staff member a physical PC with the necessary specifications to run core systems. However, due to the recent surge in prices, the cost of procuring terminals has skyrocketed, making it a major challenge to continue updating and maintaining terminals for all staff members.

Furthermore, due to the “three-tier separation” structure unique to local governments, employees’ desks were cluttered with multiple PCs for Internet, LGWAN, My Number, and tax systems.
