EX Gravity (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Success Shirasaka) has announced the lineup of 12 exhibits and their creators for the "Designing Life Without Gravity" exhibition to be held on July 21 (Tuesday), 2026. The exhibition will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2012, at the following venues and times. In addition, the venue and time of the exhibition have been confirmed.

Designing Life Without Gravity
This is a thought-experimental exhibition that explores how human culture and lifestyles can be redesigned by removing the constraints of "gravity" that we assume in our daily lives. Twelve creators from diverse fields such as architecture, product design, research, and art will come together to present a collection of works that highlight how human activities such as hairstyles, clothing, food, housing, and rituals have been "supported by gravity.

About this exhibition
In recent years, NASA's Artemis mission and other human lunar exploration and stay programs have been gaining momentum again. Space is no longer a special place, but is becoming a reality as a "place where people live.
In the past, new technologies have been created by assuming the extreme environment of weightlessness in space development, and these technologies, like freeze-dried food, have been applied to our life and culture on the ground. This exhibition extends this "space perspective" from technology to culture and lifestyle, daring to design a "zero-gravity lifestyle" and reexamining the assumptions of life on earth.
By designing hairstyles, clothes, dances, festivals, etc. based on the premise of a zero-gravity environment, we will visualize how human activities have been restricted by gravity. It is not a proposal for space life, but a thought experiment to rethink life on earth and rethink what it means to design life.
About EX Gravity
EX Gravity is a non-profit organization established to improve the quality of life experience (QOL/QOE) in the future space environment. With an eye on the 2040s and beyond, when space travel and space stays will become a reality, the organization is exploring "ways of living and experiencing life in space" that allow people to live comfortably and creatively even under special conditions such as zero-gravity and confined spaces. From the perspective of human-centered design and experience design, we aim to create a new culture and value in space.
