First naming rights to Osaka Sewerage Science Museum acquired by Misak

The City of Osaka has concluded a naming rights agreement for the Osaka Sewerage Science Museum (Konohana-ku, Osaka; annual visitors in 2024: 97,740) with Misak Corporation (Osaka City; CEO Takahiro Masaki), which is engaged in maintenance and management of sewer infrastructure. The facility will be nicknamed "Misak Sewerage Science Museum OSAKA," the first time naming rights have been introduced for the museum. The term of the contract is five years, and the naming rights fee is 2.8 million yen per year (excluding tax).

The science museum is a facility where visitors of all ages, from children to adults, can learn about the sewerage system and the importance of the water environment through hands-on exhibits.

Since its establishment, Misak has been responsible for the maintenance and management of sewerage facilities mainly in Osaka City. Commenting on the contract, Takahiro Masaki, president of the company, said, "We hope it will serve as an opportunity for many people to learn about the role and importance of the sewerage system.

The City of Osaka hopes that the introduction of naming rights will help improve the attractiveness of its facilities and promote understanding of the sewerage business through collaboration with private companies.
