Baby Universe Adobe Illustrator Plug-in
Plug-ins Used by Design Professionals
Since its establishment in 1992, Baby Universe has developed and sold plug-in software that adds functionality to Adobe Illustrator, a standard design tool used around the world, and used by more than 12,000 users(*2) in over 50 countries.
The plug-ins are used for a wide range of purposes, and support a wide range of users' design work in the manufacturing, apparel, and architectural industries by adding functions such as drawing creation in Adobe Illustrator and data conversion with CAD systems.
Use in Higher Education and Start of Sales at University Co-ops
Baby Universe plug-ins are being used not only by private companies but also by users in higher education institutions such as universities and graduate schools. For example, the Fashion and Textile Design Department at Kobe Design University (Hyogo Prefecture) uses Baby Universe's Segment Tools for practical training in creating apparel patterns.

Other departments such as industrial and crafts departments, are also using our plug-ins.
Recognizing this trend, we are aiming to support higher education in Japan in the fields of design and design by assisting even more people in their research and studies, and in December 2025, we started selling three plug-ins on the "University Co-op Software Information" website for co-op members operated by the National Federation of University Co-operative Associations in Japan (NFUCA *3). In January 2026, we also started selling the same products through "University Co-op Catalog Shopping," a mail-order catalog issued by the same association. This means that students, teachers and workers who are co-op members at more than 200 institutions nationwide can now purchase Baby Universe products through their familiar University Co-op counters.
The following three products are now available at the University Co-op
BPT-Pro drawing creation tool
EXDXF-Pro DXF file conversion tool
Segment Tools for apparel pattern creation
Note: Please refer to the "University Co-op Software Information" below or our website for the prices, features and use cases of each product.
We believe that the use of our products in research and study at universities and junior colleges will help students improve their ICT skills (practical experience in an environment similar to actual design and design work) in preparation for employment.
