Ascentec aims to enter the AI business, AI infrastructure optimized for virtual humans AI Edge Server

Ascentec Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Takashi Matsuura, President & CEO; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") announces its intention to develop an "AI Edge Server" based on a remote PC array architecture in order to provide an optimal execution environment for AI agents and virtual humans*.

The use of generative AI has been expanding rapidly in recent years, but there are three major challenges in executing AI in the cloud

Security risk when handling personal and confidential information

Response delays due to the Internet

Increased usage costs due to pay-as-you-go billing

To address these issues, we are developing an "AI Edge Server" based on our remote access infrastructure "Remote PC Array" as a platform that enables low-cost, safe, and efficient use of on-premise generated AI.

Through this, we aim to solve the three issues by reducing the risk of information leakage through a closed network that shuts off the Internet, realizing high-speed response through in-facility access, and reducing costs by shifting from cloud use to on-premise use.

The "AI Edge Server" is a 2U chassis equipped with four to five NVIDIA GPUs (for AI), and consists of a server for LLM/RAG and multiple servers for bots (front-end processing) in a single chassis, providing an optimal platform for virtual human beings.

Product launch and sales are targeted for April-May 2026.

Leveraging our strength in remote PC arrays, we will continue to develop AI edge solutions optimized for our customers' environments and help them build secure and efficient on-premise AI infrastructures. Through our products and services, we will promote entry into the new AI business.
