Photographer Kenta Igarashi celebrates 10 years of flying cats Photo exhibition "Sora the Island Cat" will be held at Shinjuku Marui Annex from October 2, 2012.

Flying Cat LLC will hold the "Island Cat Sora Sora Photo Exhibition" to commemorate the 10th anniversary of flying cat photographer Kenta Igarashi at Shinjuku Marui Annex from October 2 (Thu) to October 21 (Tue), 2025. Approximately 50 works will be exhibited at the venue.

About Sora, the island cat

A Siamese mix cat raised on Cat Island in Fukuoka Prefecture. She was picked up as a kitten and raised in the Kanto area, where she became popular on SNS and spread widely, and in 2025 she was chosen as a cat model for a famous apparel brand.

Photographer Kenta Igarashi

Born in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture in 1984.

His photographs have been used for stationery, miscellaneous goods, calendars, printed matter covers, advertisements, magazines, and television.

His books have sold over 100,000 copies.

In 2024, he held a flying cat photo exhibition at the Tokyo Solamachi Museum of Posts and Telecommunications (17,300 visitors). Solo exhibitions have been held in various places in Japan.
