GooGooLink Corporation (Head office: Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture; Representative Director: Keiichiro Matsumura) will conduct a project on the crowdfunding site CAMPFIRE to develop the "GooGoo" device and application for families to monitor heartbeats and body movements while infants are in bed, and to promote its use in childcare facilities. The project will run from September 1 (Monday) to October 15 (Wednesday), 2025 on the crowdfunding site CAMPFIRE. The device attached to the ankle acquires data and automatically notifies a tablet in case of an abnormality, aiming to reduce the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

Background of Development

The management of bedtime routines at daycare centers is still mainly done visually and by hand. GooGoo is a monitoring technology that was developed in response to feedback from nursery staff. The lightweight ankle-mounted device captures heartbeats and body movements, and automatically notifies the operator of any abnormalities. Checklists are also automatically generated digitally, eliminating the need for handwritten records. GooGoo's challenge started with the idea of reducing the time childcare workers spend on "records" and increasing the time they can spend with their children.
