Revolutionising Japanese language education with JapaChat

This project aims to help foreigners who are suffering from language barriers in their daily lives. This app also aims to improve foreigners' Japanese language skills and to help them adapt smoothly to Japanese society, which is done through an interactive learning experience with AI.

<Current Issues

~Foreign learners do not have a place to "practice" conversational Japanese.

Many foreigners living in Japan are attracted to Japanese culture and lifestyle, but face the challenge of having few opportunities to speak Japanese.

Even if they attend a Japanese language school, they have few opportunities to interact with Japanese people outside the school and lack opportunities to output their language skills to use through actual conversations.

As a result, many foreigners are unable to integrate into society after graduation, causing many to choose to return to their home countries without finding employment of their choice. This is a great loss for Japan, especially when it is facing declining birthrate, aging population, and labor shortage.

～JapaChat offers a new learning experience.

JapaChat is an innovative Japanese language learning application that allows users to learn everyday conversation naturally and enjoyably through dialogue with AI. JapaChat allows users to practice their Japanese conversational skills regardless of time or location.

Main features of JapaChat

1. Free chat function: Free conversation with AI on topics of your choice to cultivate practical conversational skills

2. Situational conversation practice: Practice a conversation in realistic situations such as shopping, hospitals, job interviews, etc. You can also learn how to use honorifics (keigo) and humble language (sonkeigo).

3. Error feedback function: AI immediately points out and explains grammatical and expression errors in conversation. This is for users to learn natural expressions.

4. Gamification: Level ups and titles are awarded according to learning progress. This support is for maintaining learner motivation.

5. News Linkage: Reinforce conversation skills based on current events using the latest news

Several issues faced by various stakeholders includes first, the lack of opportunities for foreign learners to practice daily conversation; second, the difficulty Japanese language schools have in keeping track of off-campus conversation practice; and third, the need for corporations and companies to select effective advertisers.
