Meteo Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hiroshige Tahara; hereinafter "Meteo") will start to distribute videos explaining the key points of the 5th revision of the renal cancer treatment protocol and 3D imaging (CT) from May 27, 2025 (Tuesday) on its medical video distribution service "Medical*Online Video". The videos will be available from May 27, 2025 (Tue.).

Renal Cancer Treatment Regulations: Key Points of the Fifth Edition Revision

In 2021, the renal cancer guidelines were revised for the first time in 9 years. In this special issue, we explain in detail the key points of the 5th edition of the revised code of treatment for renal cancer from the viewpoints of "clinical matters: determination of treatment efficacy" and "pathological matters: histopathological classification/prognostic factors".

On the clinical side, Dr. Nobuo Shinohara (Director, Kushiro Rosai Hospital) explains the enhancement of diagnostic imaging, the addition of independent renal biopsy and IMDC risk classification, while on the pathological side, Dr. Chisato Ooe ( (Senior Professor, Department of Pathology, Hyogo Medical University School of Medicine) with the latest information of WHO 2022 classification.

Medical*Online Video" is not a video service for doctors, nurses, or any other specialized field, but a video service for all medical professionals and students.

The videos distributed will basically be videos originally created by Meteo and opened in October 2024. Currently, lectures and guidelines (7 videos), basic nursing (65 videos), physical therapy (336 videos), occupational therapy (102 videos), speech and hearing therapy (36 videos), visual function therapy (43 videos), clinical testing (5 videos), medical imaging and radiological technology (79 videos), and medical legal consultation (6 videos) are being delivered.
