Background of the project

The "1,000 Kizuna (Bonds) Project" launched in 2020 with the aim of eliminating the killing of dogs and cats and establishing a dog and cat facility was a great success, but five years later, more than 10,000 dogs and cats are still being killed annually(*). In addition, the number of dogs and cats given away at public health centers and welfare centers has decreased, and although there are various factors, they are the only lifeline for the dogs and cats housed there to survive. This project aims to achieve the goal of no-kill and to make as many people as possible aware of the options available to save their lives.
