3D Printer Housing Manufacturer Serendix, 3D Printer Technology to Support Construction of Reconstruction Housing in Ukraine

Serendix Corporation (Headquarters: Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture; CEO: Hiroyasu Koma) announces that as a result of the "Japan-Ukraine Economic Reconstruction Promotion Conference" held in Tokyo on February 19, it has signed a memorandum of understanding with a local construction company operating in Ukraine on technical cooperation for "3D printer housing for postwar reconstruction" in support of reconstruction. The agreement was signed at the Japan-Ukraine Economic Reconstruction Promotion Conference.

In cooperation with a local construction company, MHI is aiming to construct reconstruction houses using 3D printers for construction. We will design the digital data necessary for construction and provide it free of charge. In Ukraine, the data will be used by the partner company to output concrete components for the houses, which will then be constructed. We also plan to conduct explosion-proof tests to verify safety.

The project will start in June, with the aim of constructing a prototype by the end of 2024, and will be carried out in cooperation with each other.

In addition to supporting the reconstruction of Ukraine, we intend to apply the various technologies and know-how gained through this project to the development of reconstruction housing and new housing models in the affected areas.

In October 2022, we conducted the world's first demonstration test of simultaneous output in five countries using a single digital data (serendix10). We have been hoping to utilize this knowledge and use the digital data of 3D printed houses as early as possible to support housing for postwar reconstruction. We have heard that 2 million households in Ukraine have been affected by the destruction of housing complexes and single family homes. We would like to strive to create a new path and hope for postwar reconstruction housing assistance.
