Rinse Connect Corporation (Head Office: Edogawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Yamashita) announces "Visual Twin," a concept that incorporates transparent OLED panels attached to tempered glass into safety windows of machine tools. The concept model of "Visual Twin" will be exhibited at MECHATRONICS TECHNOLOGY JAPAN to be held in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture on October 18, 2023 (Wednesday). (Patent pending)

"Visual Twin" incorporates a transparent OLED panel into the safety window of a machine tool, and projects the image of a camera mounted on the panel or inside the machine onto the transparent OLED panel. This allows the user to operate the machine with the machine door closed during setup debugging while simultaneously viewing a zoomed-in image of the spindle and the inside of the machine. Also, even when coolant splashes during machining and the machine interior is not visible, the image from the in-machine camera can be projected on the transparent OLED panel, allowing the operator to actually see the inside of the machine.
