◆Critique of the "Japan Moodle Innovation Award”
The idea of a free, open, online "journal club," which has rarely been used in the field of education, was excellent. The idea of having a free, open, and online "journal club," which has rarely been used in the field of education, is excellent. The use of the OSS Moodle as an online platform enables the linkage with AI tools, databases, Perusall, SNS, etc., and the scalability of its use also leads us to the conclusion that this research is worthy of the "Japan Moodle Innovation Award". We hope that this activity will spread not only to the field of education but also to all other fields, establish a new educational literacy model, and contribute to shortening the distance between research and practice.
◆Comments from Dr. Jingjing Lin, winner of the "Japan Moodle Innovation Award”
I am thrilled and deeply honored to receive the Japan Moodle Innovation Award for my project, "Fostering Education and Research Literacy Using Online Journal Clubs and AI Tools". My deep gratitude goes to people who have made this award possible.
This accolade reflects my recent dedication to leveraging web technology for enhancing educational research training. The journey began with a simple vision: to create an open, dynamic, interactive, and collaborative space for students and researchers for research training purposes to bridge the gaps in traditional pedagogical methods. By blending AI tools with online journal clubs, this project of ResearchIC.com has endeavored to nurture a culture of shared learning and research by developing a unique Moodle instance. The Moodle platform has been instrumental in our efforts, offering a flexible and powerful tool that allowed me to achieve the vision.
This achievement is not merely a personal victory, but a triumph for all educators navigating the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. This recognition serves as a beacon, inspiring us all to continue pushing the envelope, sparking curiosity, and nurturing a passion for learning and research. While we revel in the glow of this accomplishment, I also eagerly anticipate future undertakings with the potential to revolutionize the educational landscape.
