A seafood company specializing in Kasumi crab will open a new takeout restaurant, “CRAB & SHRIMP,” on Thursday, October 15, in Kinosaki Onsen, Hyogo Prefecture! The restaurant has developed luxurious burgers and other dishes featuring Kasumi crab shipped directly from the fishing port.

Maruchika Co., Ltd. (Kamicho, Mikata District, Hyogo Prefecture; Representative Director: Shigeyuki Uegaki, 3rd-generation president), a seafood manufacturing, processing, and wholesale company founded in 1957, will open its first takeout-only specialty store, “CRAB & SHRIMP”(Club and Shrimp) in Kinosaki Onsen, Hyogo Prefecture, on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Kinosaki Onsen, located on the Sea of Japan coast in northern Hyogo Prefecture, is one of the Kansai region’s leading hot spring towns.In this traditional hot spring town with a history spanning over 1,300 years, the culture of strolling through the streets in yukata and geta while visiting the public bathhouses still persists. Another attraction is the concentration of public bathhouses with distinct characteristics within a short distance; it is a literary hot spring resort beloved by many writers, including Naoya Shiga.

“CRAB & SHRIMP” was developed for tourists and local residents who enjoy strolling through Kinosaki and sampling its local cuisine.It is a takeout-only shop attached to “Kinosaki KAWAI,” a restaurant we operate in Kinosaki Onsen, and was developed by a seafood company specializing in Kasumi crab to make enjoying crab more accessible.

“Kasumi Crab” is a brand awarded exclusively to red snow crabs—the only ones in the Kansai region landed at Kasumi Fishing Port—that meet specific standards.The menu features luxurious mini-burgers made with fresh Kasumi crab and shrimp—landed at Kasumi Fishing Port and shipped directly—as well as fried dishes, a “crab tower” made of crab and sweet shrimp croquettes, and “crab rice porridge” crafted with care by a professional crab merchant. With its colorful presentation, we deliver both Instagram-worthy visuals and delicious flavors.
