In addition to the 11 tracks released digitally between 2021 and 2026, this album features three new songs, an English version of her biggest hit “Pray and Wish,” and, on the CD version, an acoustic version of an existing track as a bonus track.

Rather than simply compiling previously released tracks into a single collection, the album incorporates new songs and a unique artistic vision that can only be fully realized in a full-length album, resulting in a cohesive work that can be enjoyed as a whole through its 17 tracks, including the intro.

Among these, the English version of “Pray and Wish” presented a particularly significant challenge.

The original song charted at No. 36 on the U.S. iTunes “J-POP” chart, demonstrating that the song has reached audiences not only in Japan but also overseas.

Inspired by that response, the desire to “share this song in English as well” was born, and we decided to include it in a new form as an English version on this album.

Singing in English was a major challenge for her.

[Comment from Chisato]

“Precisely because I’m in a position to convey a message, I want to take on various challenges and share that journey through my music. I’d be happy if this could inspire courage or move someone, giving them the motivation to think, ‘I want to try that too.’ For this album, I paid close attention not only to the music itself but also to the ‘form’ of the CD.The photos used for the CD cover and lyric booklet were taken in the town where I was born and raised—a place that represents my roots—allowing me to capture both the journey I’ve taken so far and the future that lies ahead in this work. This is my first full-length album in about seven years. I hope you’ll pick it up and give it a listen.”

■ Chisato Profile

I’m Chisato, a singer-songwriter from Satosho Town, Okayama Prefecture.

My 4th single, “Prayer and Wish,” released in 2018, charted at No. 36 on the U.S. iTunes chart in the J-POP category.

This song was created as a song to support recovery efforts following the “Western Japan Heavy Rains” that caused massive damage in 2018, and “Kaze Fujii,” a singer-songwriter from the same hometown who shared Chisato’s vision, handled the piano arrangement.

My album “JIGGY,” released in 2019, ranked within the Top 50 J-Pop songs on Apple Music in various countries, including Vietnam, Nepal, and Laos.

In addition to live performances, she is active in a wide range of fields, including providing music and appearing in TV commercials (Hiramatsu Electric Construction, the theme song for the 50th anniversary of Okayama Co-op’s reconstruction, the song for the Sunstar × Kyorindo collaboration product, Hasui Shoten, etc.), working as a radio personality, and producing videos.
