Introducing “Gaming Air” at Two Experience Booths That Compare Different Air Environments
Karumoa Co.,Ltd.
Calmore Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takahiro Enomoto;hereinafter “Calmore”) will be exhibiting at the “Tokyo Game Show 2026,” to be held at Makuhari Messe from Thursday, September 17, 2026, through Monday, September 21, 2026 (a national holiday), for the second consecutive year. This year, under the slogan “#Declaration to Improve Gaming Air,” the company will operate two experiential booths titled “Which Gaming Air Is Right for You?” where visitors can compare different air environments. It will also set up an “Odor Consultation Desk” staffed by nationally certified odor assessors to address inquiries regarding odors in gaming facilities, event venues, and gaming rooms.

■ Calmore’s Commitment to Gaming Air Quality
It’s a shame to invest in high-end devices and hone your skills only to neglect the air quality. Since odors are invisible and people tend to get used to them without noticing, they’ve often been overlooked when creating gaming environments.
What constitutes “comfortable air” varies from person to person. Rather than imposing a single “correct” answer, Calmore aims to make air quality an environmental factor that players can customize to their preferences—just like they do with their devices or lighting.
As a point of reference, we conducted an informal poll on the official X account for “Deodorizing Fairy Noll” in June 2026. Out of 242 votes, “odor” accounted for 29.3% and “sound” for 29.8%. While this statistic does not represent the entire gaming community, it shows that odor was a significant concern among respondents.

■ Tokyo Game Show 2026 Exhibition Details
We will set up a booth themed “Gaming Air” in the Gaming Lifestyle Corner of Hall 9. Through two hands-on experience booths and a consultation desk staffed by odor assessment specialists, we will create a space where visitors can explore which type of air suits them best. Carmore’s character, “Deodorizing Fairy Noll,” will also make an appearance at the booth.
・Two hands-on booths: “Which ‘Gaming Air’ Is Right for You?”
・Odor consultation desk staffed by certified odor experts
・Introduction to odor measurement devices, odor control consulting, the Levion sterilization and deodorization unit, and the Suvalite Air functional fragrance
■ Two Hands-On Booths: “Which Gaming Air Is Right for You?”
Research shows that unpleasant odors reduce concentration, while pleasant scents can boost productivity by 1.3 times.Visitors will experience two booths—each recreating a different air environment—in sequence and choose “which air they’d prefer to play in.” Whether you’re someone who wants to play without being distracted by odors or someone who wants to use scent to set the right mood, this event lets you experience the difference firsthand and reflect on the air quality—something we rarely consciously notice in our daily lives.
<I want to play without being aware of the scent>
An environment where unpleasant odors are suppressed and you’re as unaware of the air as possible
<Want to Set the Mood with Scent>
An environment that incorporates a scent suited to the individual to help set the right mood before and during play
This is an experience where neither option is considered “correct”—it’s about discovering which atmosphere suits you best

■ Calmore’s Initiatives in the Gaming Sector to Date
(1) In collaboration with the Ibaraki Prefecture esports team “ORB GARDEN,” we investigated how the absence or presence of odors and scents affects the gaming experience and released a video showcasing the results.
(2) At “RTA in Japan Winter 2025,” we used “LIMOS” to measure odors at the venue for eight consecutive days and began operating seven “Levion WK-800” units midway through the event.Even during the latter half of the event, when visitor numbers increased, the average odor level decreased from 215.74 (LM value) before operation to 206.36 after operation. Based on these measurements and on-site verification, we are advancing odor control measures for gaming spaces.
