一般社団法人日本串カツ協会

The Japan Kushikatsu Association, a general incorporated association, will officially release the “Kushikatsu Memorial Day Remix Album,” produced as part of an industry-academia collaboration project with HAL—a vocational school that trains specialists in the IT and digital content industries (located in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya)—to commemorate “Kushikatsu Memorial Day” on September 4.

We are also pleased to announce that distribution of the official music video (MV) for the original song “Kushikatsu Memorial Day” will begin on the same day.

This video was filmed to coincide with the release on “Kushikatsu Day,” September 4, 2025, and features HAN-KUN of Shonan no Kaze—who wrote the lyrics, composed the music, and served as producer for the song—along with singer Shoko Haida,as well as students from the Musical Academy Dream who participated in the backing vocals.

The full-length music video is scheduled to be released at a later date.

■ Background and History of the Industry-Academia Collaboration Project

This project is an industry-academia collaboration between the “Japan Kushikatsu Association,” which aims to promote kushikatsu culture and revitalize local communities, and HAL, a vocational school dedicated to nurturing the next generation of creators.Based on the original song “Kushikatsu Memorial Day” produced by reggae artist HAN-KUN (Shonan no Kaze), students from HAL’s Music Department took on the challenge of creating a remix. Over the course of approximately three months, they worked on the production process—including arrangement, mixing, and sound design—to create a piece that showcases their individual sensibilities and technical skills.

This project, which was first presented and unveiled at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, has now been released as a remix album on September 4—"Kushikatsu Memorial Day." We are proud to deliver an unprecedented kushikatsu entertainment experience that fuses the students’ fresh sensibilities with digital technology.
