Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route: A Musical Celebration Amid the Great Outdoors at Murodo (Elevation 2,450 m) “Tateyama Street Piano 2026” to Be Held for Three Days Starting Friday, September 11

The “Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route”—one of the world’s premier mountain tourism routes connecting Toyama and Nagano Prefectures (operated by Tateyama Kurobe Kanmitsu Co., Ltd.,Headquarters: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture), will host “Tateyama Street Piano 2026” on the rooftop of the Murodo Terminal for three days from Friday, September 11, 2026, through Sunday, September 13, 2026.Special guests include the acoustic music unit “Toy le Cant,” as well as keyboardist Tomoyuki Oda and vocalist Hina from the five-member nature pop band “Super Mountain Climbing Club,” who are known for their mountain ascents. Additionally, a pre-event will be held to invite members of the public who applied in advance to perform at the venue on the day of the event.

Now in its fourth year since its debut in 2023, “Tateyama Street Piano” is a popular fall event on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. An upright piano will be set up on the rooftop of the Murodo Terminal, where anyone is free to play.A relaxation area with reclining chairs is set up around the piano, creating a luxurious space where visitors can leisurely enjoy the views of Murodo Plain along with the music.

(2) Super Mountaineering Club (Featuring Tomoyuki Oda on keyboards and Hina on vocals): September 13 (Sun) at 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM
With a fusion of diverse genres and a free-spirited musical style, they stimulate the listener’s imagination and present stories that evoke images of nature and scenery. Hina’s emotionally rich, crystal-clear, and expansive “voice like the wind” is a major highlight.

We will hold a lottery to select 5 people from among those who wish to perform at the venue on the day of the event. Winners will receive a ticket for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route to Murodo. In addition to the in-person event at the Toyama Station Street Piano, we will also accept applications via social media. *Winners will be notified on Tuesday, September 1.

Travelers can easily enjoy the breathtaking views of the Tateyama mountain range—which reaches altitudes of around 3,000 meters—while riding unique modes of transportation typical of mountainous areas, such as cable cars, buses, and ropeways.Accessible from both the Toyama and Nagano sides, the one-way route allows you to fully enjoy major attractions such as Murodo Plain and Kurobe Dam all at once.
