■Shifting from “Air Circulation” to “Active Cooling” for Extreme Heat Countermeasures

While fan-equipped clothing draws air into the garment, it can also draw in warm air in environments with high outside temperatures, leading to the garment becoming puffy.CORO integrates a Peltier element that cools water, a pump that circulates the chilled water, and a heat-dissipating fan that expels heat from the unit. It employs a mechanism that cools the water channels inside the vest itself, rather than simply creating an airflow path.

1. Direct Water Cooling via Peltier Elements

We use a “Peltier element,” a semiconductor that transfers heat when an electric current is applied. Rather than relying solely on the evaporation of sweat, it cools the water inside the tank.

2. Water channels covering the chest and back with an area of approximately 2,600 cm²

A pump delivers the chilled water into the vest and circulates it through water channels running from the chest to the back. The slim design, which tucks the cooling tubes inside the garment, ensures freedom of movement during work.

3. Rear fan expels heat from the unit

Heat absorbed by the Peltier element is expelled to the outside via the rear cooling fan. The cooling, circulation, and heat dissipation systems work in tandem to ensure stable operation.

Chilled water circulates inside the vest, and the warmed water returns to the unit.

■ Surface Temperature Reduction Confirmed in an Environment Simulating a Room Temperature of 35°C

A thermographic comparison was conducted in an environment with a room temperature of 35°C, humidity of 50%, and water temperature of 20°C. The results confirmed a decrease in the garment’s surface temperature, particularly around the chest and back, after wearing it. Test results may vary depending on the usage environment, body type, wearing conditions, and power supply conditions.

Place the cooling unit in the pocket, connect the two hoses, and pour approximately 400–500 ml of water along with the included ice pack into the water inlet on the back. Connect a compatible mobile battery (sold separately), press the power button, and operation begins. Choose from two modes—Auto and Manual—to suit your usage environment.

The water channels are concentrated inside the vest, resulting in a sleek appearance that minimizes the bulky look often associated with fan-equipped clothing. It is designed for use in a wide range of settings, including construction, agriculture, delivery, warehouses and factories, as well as fishing and camping.
