[Background of the Recruitment]

International travelers visiting Japan are broadening their interests beyond famous urban tourist spots to include regional culture, cuisine, nature, history, and lifestyle experiences. At the same time, when visiting a region for the first time, travelers may feel anxious about language barriers, transportation options, local customs, and how to find restaurants or places to enjoy local experiences. TraviU aims to connect these travelers with local guides in Japan who know the area well, providing travelers with a more reassuring and enriching travel experience while offering guides new opportunities to utilize their knowledge and experience.

[Open to Those Without Prior Tour Guide Experience]

TraviU is not limited to those with professional tour guide experience. However, titles such as “National Certified Interpreter-Guide” and “Regional Certified Interpreter-Guide” may only be used by those who hold the corresponding qualifications.

Furthermore, guides and assistants must comply with the Travel Agency Act and other relevant laws and regulations; they are not permitted to engage in activities requiring legal authorization, such as selling travel packages or arranging accommodations and transportation.

At TraviU, we place great importance not only on guiding visitors around tourist attractions but also on supporting travelers so they can move about Japan with peace of mind. Expected activities include guiding visitors to tourist spots, city walks, introducing restaurants and local experiences, providing transportation assistance, and helping with shopping and cultural experiences. We plan to establish a system where guides can register their available service areas, hours, languages, and areas of expertise, allowing them to work at their own pace and according to their experience.
