"Kichijoji Ennichi 2026" will be held at Copis Kichijoji from Saturday, July 18, through Monday, July 20 (a national holiday). This year, come enjoy "Mononoke Kibun" after dark.

Coppice Kichijoji (located in Musashino City, Tokyo) will host the “Kichijoji Ennichi” for three days from Saturday, July 18, 2026, through Monday, July 20 (a national holiday),at the GREENING Plaza on the 3rd floor of Building A, where a diverse array of vendors with deep ties to Kichijoji will set up stalls to liven up the summer alongside visitors.

Now in its fifth year, this event will take on a “Mononoke Mood” theme, offering a different atmosphere from previous years by starting just after sunset.

Vendors at the stalls and local groups performing on stage will create the “Mononoke” atmosphere with decorations and costumes matching the theme.

Don’t worry—these “mononoke” aren’t scary at all; instead, they’ll liven up the venue with a colorful and charming atmosphere unique to Copis Kichijoji.

In addition, the venue will once again feature a variety of events unique to the “Kichijoji Ennichi.”

We’ve prepared plenty of activities for all ages, including the annual “Kichijoji Singing Contest,” a workshop where you can dress up as a “Mononoke,” and a “Mononoke Hunt” where you can explore the building while searching for hidden Mononoke.

Through this event, Copis Kichijoji will join hands with the local community to liven up the summer in Kichijoji for three days in the “Mononoke spirit.”

■ Back again this year: Kichijoji’s Singing Contest, where songs echo through the evening sky

The annual “Singing Contest” marks its fifth year this year.

This year, the Children’s Division will be held on Day 1 and the Adult Division on Day 2, livening up the summer nights and creating a gathering place for everyone in the town.
