Next Generation Political Academy
Despite being held on weekday evenings, the first session attracted 24 participants from across the country, with feedback such as, “I learned how to translate my ideas into policy,” and “My anxiety about running for office turned into a concrete action plan.”
In addition, our free “Budding Politicians Seminar”—a course designed to help participants take their first steps into politics—was well-received, with 20 participants. In response to this growing interest in political participation, we have decided to hold the second session.
This time, to create a more accessible environment, the sessions will be held on weekdays during the day.
■ Politics Cannot Be Changed by “Aspirations” Alone
In recent years, the number of people interested in local issues and eager to participate in politics has been growing. However, in reality,
・They have the desire to improve their community
・They are interested in running for office
・But don’t know where to start
.
At Next Democracy, with the goal of “turning aspirations into policies and increasing the number of politicians elected on the basis of those policies,” we operate the “Next Generation Political Academy” as a practical learning environment.
In this course,
・Articulating your vision
・Analyzing local issues
・Policy formulation
・Election strategy
・Practical activities
You can systematically learn all of these topics.
■What Is the Next-Generation Political Academy?
This is a four-part online course centered on the theme of “Becoming a Politician Elected for Your Policies.”

■What Next Democracy Aims to Achieve
In Japan, there are many people who are interested in politics but feel that “it’s beyond my capabilities” or that “politicians are special people.”
Next Democracy aims to realize a “political culture where candidates are elected based on their policies” by dispelling these misconceptions and fostering talent capable of tackling local issues.
From seminars for aspiring politicians to a political academy for the next generation, and on to actual campaigns.
We will continuously support the growth of those aspiring to enter politics and foster talent capable of changing Japan’s future, starting from the local level.
Our YouTube channel, which provides commentary on politics and election news, is also well-received.
