Karuizawa Winery Co., Ltd., a group company of Oval Co., Ltd. (Oval Group; Head Office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture), will open the first phase of its facility in early August 2026 in the Hatsuchi district of Karuizawa Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture (directly across from Karuizawa Hatsuchi Ichiba).

The name of the first phase is “PRELUDIO—Overture.” During this first phase, alongside the unveiling of the art architecture supervised by Kengo Kuma, a retail and wine stand area will open, featuring paid wine tastings and the sale of limited-edition wines.

Surrounded by lush trees and nature, with Mount Asama visible right before your eyes, this tranquil setting quietly stimulates the senses as we offer a special experience combining wine and art.

Please note that this winery will open in stages as it continues to develop.

In Phase 2, scheduled for September 2026, the winery will begin operations, and winery tours are also planned to start.
