A First for the Machida Area! A Collection of “Lifelike” Bread and Dessert Creations “The World of Miniature Bakeries” Exhibition Starts Friday, July 3 at Machida Modie

BACON Co., Ltd. is organizing a joint photography and merchandise exhibition specializing in bakeries and sweets, born out of the popular “World of Miniature Photography” series—which has attracted a cumulative total of over 300,000 visitors—“The World of Miniature Bakeries 2026 in Machida Moddy” (Machida City, Tokyo), which specializes in bakeries and sweets.

This exhibition brings together 52 popular creators whose work has gone viral on social media for being “too realistic.” In addition to displays of miniature bread and bakery creations so intricate they could be mistaken for the real thing, the event will feature limited-edition merchandise and side-by-side comparisons with actual bread.Visitors are welcome to photograph all exhibits, making this the first immersive miniature bakery experience of its kind in the Machida area—where you can see, snap photos, and shop to your heart’s content.

Among the exhibits at the “World of Miniature Photography Exhibition,” which has attracted over 300,000 visitors, the miniature works centered on food—such as bread, cakes, and pies—are particularly popular.

This exhibition brings together only those bakery-themed works that seem to waft their aroma right at you, allowing you to enjoy an atmosphere as if you’ve stepped into the world of a miniature bakery shop. Furthermore, photography is permitted throughout the venue. A major attraction is the chance to photograph your favorite pieces from various angles and share your own unique shots on social media.

A particular highlight is the new piece “Miniature Donuts” by “GuuRe.8 (@guure.8).” This eye-catching, impressive work features a wide variety of miniature breads arranged in a wreath-like formation—be sure to notice the carefully crafted expressions on the breads, down to the finest details.Additionally, “Red Tabby (@red_tabby33_mini)” is unveiling a new piece titled “Poplar Bakery,” inspired by a specialty shop for hard-crust bread. It creates a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can almost smell the aroma of freshly baked bread.
