Special exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the museum's opening Domoto Insho, Create a Museum
京都府立堂本印象美術館
In 1966, Japanese painter Insho Domoto (1891-1975) opened the Domoto Museum (currently, Kyoto Prefectural Insho-Domoto Museum of Fine Arts), housing and exhibiting his own works, next to his residence. Insho’s aesthetic sense can be find in every detail of its self-designed interior and exterior and that truly makes the museum itself his masterpiece. In 2026, the museum will honorary hold the commemorative exhibition to celebrate the museum’s 60th anniversary of opening by tracing its history.
