Comfortable and Careful Lifestyle Circle Connected by "LOHAS Festa

Source: LOHAS Festa official website (https://lohasfesta.jp/)
LOHAS" refers to a lifestyle that values physical and mental health, a sustainable society, and the global environment, and that is lived in a spiritually enriched manner.
The "LOHAS FESTA" where the store has opened this time is a special place where everyone who values eco-friendly and mindful living can gather.
The "upcycled (recycled) accessories" proposed by the store are exactly in the spirit of "handmade" and "environmentally friendly" that LOHAS FESTA stands for. At the event, many visitors shared the "comfort of using things with care" with each other.
The time we spent in direct dialogue with the makers and users, sharing the stories of their creations, was an invaluable experience for us all. We hope to expand the circle of "circulation" created by this event from the Nakazaki-cho store.
We will continue to offer hints on how to live carefully and lovingly in our daily lives at our store.
A sustainable future that starts from a piece. Recycled accessories that weave beauty into a cycle

Workshop
What the store wanted to convey on the stage of LOHAS FESTA was a new option for the future: to "breathe life into things that would otherwise be thrown away.
Pieces of pottery that were originally destined to be discarded after their roles had ended. The process of carefully joining them together using the "kintsugi-style" technique and recreating them as one-of-a-kind accessories has great significance that goes beyond mere remaking. What the store values is not the disposable nature of tangible objects, but the lifestyle of cherishing the memories and attachments that reside within them and continuing to use them with love and care.
What we wanted to share with the participants in this workshop was the question of how our daily life and the global environment are connected through a small item such as an accessory. From "just consuming everyday" to "living with love and recycling". While the term "ethical consumption" may seem a bit difficult, our activities aim to change the entry point into a more accessible and enjoyable experience through the "joy of creation".
This activity is not just a temporary trend, but a proposal for a sustainable lifestyle. We question the cycle of disposability and regenerate value with our own hands. We believe that the accumulation of these small actions is the power to realize a sustainable, recycling-oriented society.
We will continue to expand this circle of empathy that began at the LOHAS Festa. We hope to share with as many people as possible the beauty of changing the form and continuing to use with care through the ages.
