Japan Preserved Bonsai Association Starts
Background and Vision
Bonsai is a Japanese treasure that takes decades or centuries to form. However, the difficulty of maintaining and managing bonsai, as well as phytosanitary restrictions on exporting bonsai overseas, have limited the opportunities to share the beauty of bonsai with others.
JPBA will promote and standardize "preserved bonsai," which can maintain its beauty for a long period of time by applying its unique and advanced preservation technology, and will transmit the pride of Japan to every space and to the world.

Technical Standards
Recruitment of the first term of "Certified Instructors
The Association will train "inheritors" who will correctly pass on the theory of traditional bonsai modeling and conservation techniques to preserve the beauty of bonsai over time.
Course content: Technical acquisition and understanding of the philosophy through a curriculum appropriate to each rank.
Post-certification activities: After passing the examination, students will start activities such as selling works and holding lectures as JPBA certified instructors according to their respective ranks.
Eligibility: Those who have a desire to connect traditional culture to the future and aim to work in a new artistic field.

Cooperation
The Association's activities are supported by the technical cooperation of various companies, including Daichi Noen Co. By incorporating the excellent preservation and processing technology cultivated by Daichi Noen into our theory of modeling, we will strive to supply high-quality materials and standardize our techniques, and provide high quality products that are recognized by professionals.
Comment from Kyoji Kuriki, President
Bonsai is a spiritual culture refined through dialogue with nature. We have decided not to stop this tradition, but to "connect it to the future" with the latest technology. We are looking forward to working with you to bring the dignity of bonsai closer to the world and beyond the limitations of the environment through the new option of technology that enables long-term preservation.
