Online Course "Next Generation Politics School
Background of the course
We launched Next Democracy and started our election support business with the desire to help people who have the desire to become politicians. We do not just get people elected; we support them with policy skills and strategies that enable them to get elected through their policies, and produce good politicians. To do this, we must turn thoughts into policies, grasp the issues of citizens, and turn them into words that are sympathetic to them. The "Next Generation Politics School" will serve as a gateway to acquire these skills.
About "Next Generation Politics School
In Japan's local elections, uncontested elections have been increasing due to a shortage of candidates, and the percentage of uncontested prefectural assembly elections in the 2023 local elections reached 25.9%. On the other hand, there are many people who have an awareness of local issues and aspirations but are unable to run for office due to the belief that "politicians are special people" and concerns about the cost and preparation for elections.
In response to this situation, Next Democracy was officially launched in May 2026, based on the belief that it is necessary to accompany candidates not only on "how to win" but also on "why they are challenging" and "what kind of policies they will pursue. The "Next Generation Politics School" is the core of this initiative, which aims to broaden the entry points for political participation and develop human resources who can solve local issues through policy.

Part 1: "Putting Thoughts into Words: Why are you a politician?
Participants will delve deeply into their motivations and original experiences to become a politician, and verbalize their "unique thoughts".
This will help you to sort out vague motivations into a clear vision, and lay the foundation for subsequent policy making and campaign activities.
Part 2: "Seeing through the issues, understanding local problems in terms of structure."
Participants will learn how to organize and structure "issues that they are vaguely aware of" into well-founded regional issues.
By understanding the background and cause-and-effect relationships of issues, you will be able to create persuasive policies.
Part 3: "Making Policies: Putting Issues into Solutions
Learn practical approaches to incorporating local issues into concrete policies.
You will refine how to create and communicate policies that will make voters want to "entrust this person with my job".
Part 4: "Strategy and Execution: Designing and Launching an Election"
This course covers the basics of campaign strategy, social networking public relations, building supporters, and designing a timeline.
