PGECons, which started its activities mainly with companies that have abundant experience in PostgreSQL implementation, has 16 regular members (https://www.pgecons.org/pgec/companies/) and 68 general members (https://www.pgecons. PGECons operates under a subcommittee system, within which the Technical Subcommittee has established working groups (WGs) to carry out specialized activities. Currently, three WGs are active: the New Technology Verification WG, which verifies PostgreSQL performance, etc.; the Migration WG, which examines database migration considerations and methods; and the Issue Study WG, which examines on-site issues faced by database administrators and application developers. In addition, the CR Subcommittee, which provides feedback on technical issues to the PostgreSQL development community with the aim of expanding the application of PostgreSQL to the enterprise domain, is active in a total of four groups.
In the online seminar on May 29, three of these groups will report on the results of their activities in FY2025 in detail, and the Steering Committee will present their annual activity plans for FY2026.

Summary of Activities in FY2025
New Technology Verification WG (WG1): Fixed-point observation (performance comparison between versions)
As part of WG1 activities in FY2025, we conducted the annual fixed-point observation to measure the performance of PostgreSQL 17 and 18. As in previous years, performance verification on multi-core CPUs was conducted to compare the performance of the old and new versions, and to confirm whether or not there were any performance changes from 17 to 18, as well as to check for trends.
Transition WG (WG2): Activities of WG2 in FY2025
WG2 (Migration WG) has been investigating and verifying the database migration process to PostgreSQL and the work content for each process since 2012. This year, we are conducting activities to further enhance the results of last year's deliverables, which are the results of the survey and verification focusing on roles and privileges. In this presentation, we will report on the survey on new features related to PostgreSQL migration and introduce the activities of WG2 in FY2025, touching on the past deliverables.
CR Subcommittee: Trends in Improvement of Technical Issues for Expansion of PostgreSQL Application Areas
Technical issues in applying PostgreSQL to the enterprise domain have included the lack of a highly functional query execution plan control function and a lack of information collection methods for analyzing failures. This presentation will report on the status of improvement of these issues and development trends in the community.
