Crossing Lake Inawashiro INA SHIP" to cross Lake Inawashiro

Inawashiro Tourism Association (Chairman: Isao Kanda) is pleased to announce the launch of "Cycle Ship INASHIP", which allows you to cross Lake Inawashiro with your bicycle on board as a special event for the Fukushima Destination Campaign (hereinafter referred to as Fukushima DC). This special limited-time offer is designed to attract visitors from within and outside of the prefecture and to extend their stay in the prefecture.

Outline of the project

INASHIP" is a bicycle tour between Nagahama (Inawashiro Town) and Funatsu (Konan Town, Koriyama City), using a sightseeing boat on Lake Inawashiro, with bicycles loaded directly onto the boat, which is not normally operated. This will provide a new option for those who were concerned about the distance and height difference of the "INAICHI" cycling course around Lake Inawashiro, by allowing them to enjoy cycling around Lake Inawashiro from half way around. In addition, those who do not have bicycles can rent them at the tourist information center (Inawashiro Tourist Association) located in front of Inawashiro Station.

Segment: Nagahama (Inawashiro Town) - Funatsu (Konan Town, Koriyama City)

Dates of operation: May 23 (Sat.), 24 (Sun.), June 6 (Sat.), 7 (Sun.), 2026

Time schedule: Flight 1: 10:00 (from Nagahama) → 11:00 (from Funatu)

Capacity: 30 persons per flight (30 bicycles each) *Reservations required

Trip fee: 2,400 yen *Children's fare is not available.

About the future

Through this project, the Association will take on the challenge of creating new value in stay-and-experience tourism by taking advantage of the rich natural resources unique to this region, including Lake Inawashiro and Mount Bandai. Furthermore, the "Bandai Loop," a brand for excursions originating in Inawashiro, will be fully developed as a new style of travel that seamlessly connects "mountains, lakes, hot springs, and towns" and allows visitors to enjoy the entire region as "one experience.
