About Sannai Kitakata Ramen

One of the three Kitakata ramen families, "Bannai Shokudo" has inherited the taste of a long-established restaurant and is now serving it to people all over Japan.

Kitakata is called "the village of warehouses in Tohoku". In the land of Kitakata, where we had arrived by chance, we encountered aged, multi-added water noodles with the firmness and robust flavor that only hand-kneaded noodles can provide. And then, there was the connection with Bannai Shokudo. He asked to be allowed to learn as an apprentice, but was always turned down. Still, he went to the restaurant every day and finally found an opening to achieve his ambition of "bringing back this flavor and spreading it throughout the country," and came to understand Shingo and Hisa Bannai, the founders of Bannai Shokudo, through their cooking.

In 1984, the store "Kura," the predecessor of Kitakata Ramen Bannai, opened under the guard of Uchisaiwaicho. In December 1988, the first "Kitakata Ramen Bannai" store was opened in Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture.
