Background: Growing demand for wood products and solutions to "estimation" issues

In recent years, from the perspective of realizing a decarbonized society and wellbeing, demand for natural wood lumber in non-residential buildings such as offices and commercial facilities has been rapidly increasing. Demand is also growing for space proposals that tell a story, using domestic timber that is sustainable and can be given back to the forests of Japan.

However, until now, the barriers to the introduction of veneer have been the time-consuming estimation process and the difficulty in grasping a sense of budget. In addition, few veneer products to date have been noncombustible, making it difficult to introduce them in commercial facilities and other nonresidential projects.

The HARIWOOD website solves these problems by combining digital technology with the knowledge of craftsmen, and proposes a smoother use of wood. In addition, a new noncombustible cloth-type veneer can be proposed at the same time.

The industry's first (according to our own research) "price estimate simulation" system

By simply selecting the type of veneer, thickness, and shape, a rough price estimate can be calculated on the spot. This system is ideal for preliminary budget consideration, and since inquiries can be made directly to the person in charge from the simulation results, the lead time from design to order placement is greatly reduced.

2. Rare timber and wooden timber to locally-produced timber for local consumption

Rare woods and grains: We use wood veneers with patterns and grains with high design value, which have not been commercialized or utilized much in the past in the industry.

Domestic and regional timber: We have a lineup of domestic timber from all over Japan, including cedar and cypress from Gifu Prefecture, our home prefecture, to contribute to the creation of spaces with a story to tell.

In addition to the "Thin(薄)" series, which is a decorative veneer with a natural wood portion of 0.2 mm thick and suitable for interior wall and ceiling materials, which are commonly distributed veneer products, the "Thick((厚)" series is thicker than usual and suitable for furniture and counter materials with a thickness of 0.55 mm, and the "Cloth" series is resistant to bending and folding and is certified nonflammable. The "Cloth" series is also flame retardant certified and resistant to bending and folding.

The name is derived from a coined word that combines the words "apply(HARI)" and "WOOD" of natural wood. The series is being developed as an image of a gathering of unique wood stars from all over the world, just like Hollywood, where stars from all over the world gather.

HARIWOOD is also a series created through corporate collaboration among three companies with expertise in the Chuno Gohan. New "HARIWOOD Nonflammable Cloth" with nonflammable specifications

HARIWOOD is now available in a cloth type that can be treated like wallpaper despite being made of real natural wood. Its superior flexibility allows installation on curved surfaces, and its ease of use means that it can be worked in the same way as ordinary cloth.

In addition, since this product is manufactured to noncombustible certified specifications, it can be used in large-scale construction and nonresidential projects with interior restrictions by following the specified installation method. In addition, a sheet type with adhesive for convenient installation is also available, and both types have noncombustible specifications.
