The "FLASH Substrate Art IC Card Case" and "FLASH Substrate Art Bookmark" designed by "SHIP'S CAT (Muse)" will be available at moeco's direct sales stores and Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka from April 25, 2026 (Sat.).

In addition to the intricate design of the substrate, this series also features a circuit that allows LEDs to light up when triggered by radio waves.

About "SHIP'S CAT(Muse)

The muse of Nakanoshima, watching over us with shining eyes.

SHIP'S CAT(Muse)" is a sculpture of a cat wearing a suit like a space suit or a diving suit, permanently installed in the Nakanoshima Art Museum, Osaka. The sculpture was created by contemporary artist Kenji Yanobe as a guardian deity to watch over the museum and its visitors, and as a symbol for the museum, which faces the Dojima River, to spread its wings to the world.

This is a product seriously created by a PCB professional. Designed using CAD for printed circuit boards, the electronic components are mounted (soldered) on a real circuit board. We design the CAD in-house and mount the components on the surface mounting line at our main factory, which is used for our main business. The board CAD that designs the board is not design software, so lines are drawn one by one with the mouse. The wiring pattern is precisely designed with 0.1mm in fine lines. The substrate is gold-plated. After mounting electronic components, they are coated one by one by hand in a clean room (class 1000) to protect the mounted components until the resin is full of surface tension by human hands and vacuum heated. Then, air bubbles and dust on the resin surface are removed by hand. Designed and manufactured in Japan, all products are RoHS compliant (lead-free). The gift box packaging makes it an ideal gift.

Five LEDs are mounted on both eyes (blue), tongue (red), and chest feather (white). It comes with a gimmick that allows the LEDs to light up without batteries when touching a ticket gate, charging, or making a payment with an IC card (*1). If the card size is the same, it can also be used as a case for ID cards for employers, etc. (*2) The IC card case is made of 100% PCB, and three types of PCBs (front, middle, and back) are press-glued together to make the case. The printed circuit board is made of FR-4 (glass fiber cloth + epoxy), a light and strong material used in automotive circuit boards and industrial equipment. The key chain is included under the IC card case inside the gift box.

*1: There are variations in the position of the chip and circuitry built into the IC card. If the response is poor, please try the IC card front and back, top and bottom.

Product Features

Substrate art bookmarks are manufactured using industrial printed circuit boards. The substrate material, process, and manufacturing method are exactly the same as the original substrate. A 0.15mm copper foil is removed from the edge of the board to prevent damage to books, notebooks, and hands. Designed and manufactured in Japan, all products are RoHS compliant (lead-free). Substrates are gold-plated. We draw each line with a mouse using a board-specific CAD program, not design (drawing) software. The fine lines are precisely designed with a wiring pattern of 0.1mm.

It can be used as a gift for book lovers and notebook users.

The top of the "SHIP'S CAT (Muse)" board is shaped like a cat's ears, creating an adorable and playful design. Both eyes (red) are equipped with two LEDs, and when placed on a MagSafe charger for iPhone (genuine) or a magnetic charger for Apple watch (genuine), both eyes glow red.

There is a possibility that it will not light up except with MagSafe charger for iPhone (genuine) and magnetic charger for Apple watch (genuine).
