About Japan Balloon Festival
Japan Balloon Festival (JBFES) is a comprehensive balloon festival originating in Japan, built around the theme “Connecting the Possibilities of Balloons to the Future.” It aims to share the appeal of balloons with a wide audience, while promoting skill development and collaboration among balloon artists. Through these initiatives, the festival seeks to create new cultural and economic value for the host region.
An Everyday, Accessible Event in a Commercial Venue: Where Professionals and the Public Meet
This event is an experiential balloon festival that combines industry-focused programs for professionals with interactive activities for general visitors.
Hosted at Aeon Mall Nagoya Noritake Garden—a lifestyle-oriented shopping destination that welcomes a high volume of daily visitors—the festival offers an opportunity to casually drop by while shopping and experience an extraordinary, immersive balloon environment.
Immersive Balloon Installations in Collaboration with Corporate Sponsors
In partnership with companies such as Aeon Mall Co., Ltd. and Aichi Toyota(an authorized dealer of Toyota Motor Corporation), this event will feature professionally designed and produced balloon installations tailored to each brand’s concept.
Through striking displays that prompt the reaction, “This is made from balloons?”, and large-scale spatial designs that utilize the entire mall, the festival elevates balloons from simple decoration to a form of art. Visitors will be immersed in a memorable, out-of-the-ordinary environment that naturally inspires photo and video sharing.
The event is also expected to generate a positive ripple effect on the local economy by increasing foot traffic, encouraging visitor circulation, and boosting on-site spending.
