The Tokyo Teshigoto Project, an initiative of the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center, will hold a POPUP event at Ginza Tsutaya from February 18 (Wed) to March 4 (Wed), where visitors can directly purchase products developed under the project and traditional Tokyo crafts.

Tokyo's traditional crafts have been refined through skilled techniques and delicate designs, and are changing day by day into forms that add color to modern life. Why not incorporate these handcrafted and carefully spun products into your modern life? During the exhibition, demonstrations by craftspeople will be held, so please take this opportunity to stop by.

Sales of traditional crafts that add color to modern life

Tokyo's traditional crafts, refined by the skills and spirit of Edo craftsmen and loved by the common people, have been handed down from generation to generation and are also highly functional. We have carefully selected a lineup of products that offer a rich lifestyle by combining traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities.

This adorable beckoning cat is expressed in the soft, round form unique to Kimekome dolls. Wearing traditional yuzen fabric, each doll has a different and gorgeous expression. It is recommended as a gift or a good-luck talisman.

A simple, easy-to-carry version of the shamisen developed to make the shamisen more accessible and enjoyable. Although it is about two-thirds the size and lightweight, the craftsmen have focused on the tone of the sound, so that you can enjoy the authentic sound of the shamisen even in a small size.
