Introducing AI into RIGDOCKS

Automatic transcription function
With the update of RIGDOCKS' SILVER plan (ver. 1.4.0, released on March 13, 2012), a new voice file "transcription" function has been added. This function is equipped with "Whisper," a state-of-the-art speech recognition model developed by OpenAI, and realizes highly accurate transcription based on speech analysis using state-of-the-art AI technology. No complicated settings or technical knowledge is required to use this function, and it can be easily used on your own PC.
The software also supports NVIDIA's GPU platform "CUDA," which enables transcription processing using higher performance models at high speed if you are using NVIDIA GPUs. Three OpenAI ggml models are included with the model, and users can use a different model if they prefer.
RIGDOCKS is provided as an API for REAPER, so transcription results can be used for other processing. This update also includes the ability to calculate text matches, which works well with the transcription feature.
These two features can be combined to compare the transcription results with the script to verify that the audio was read correctly and according to the script. This eliminates mistakes, such as voice recording errors and misrecordings, and significantly reduces the time required for confirmation work.
■The "Item Split" function allows you to easily cut and edit voices! Combined with various functions, this function shows its true value!

Item Split Function
An update to the BRONZE Plan (ver. 2.3.0, released on March 13) was also released at the same time, adding the ability to split media items on REAPER. This allows media items to be split at a specified position.
By combining this with the transcription function on the script, it is possible to split an item for each sentence of the transcription result.
In addition, by combining the functions included in the SILVER plan, it is now possible to export the split media items with an arbitrary name.
■Loudness calculation function accuracy has been improved! More reliable!
With the previous SILVER update (SILVER 1.3.0), the loudness calculation function has been renewed. This allows us to obtain more accurate values than before.
This update also affects our patented technologies "TALKTRON" and "LOUDMATCHIFY".

Patented Technology TALKTRON
TALKTRON is a multilingual loudness auto-adjustment function that automatically adjusts voices in other languages to the same loudness value as the voice set as the primary language. This can reduce differences in loudness between languages when developing games with multiple languages.

Patented technology LOUDMATCHIFY
LOUDMATCHIFY is a name-detecting loudness adjustment function that determines the loudness value of the corresponding type from the name of the voice and automatically adjusts the volume. This can greatly reduce the workload of volume adjustment for a large number of voices.

Automation of volume control and Wwise implementation using Perforce and Excel

Integration with Perforce and Excel
RIGDOCKS includes an integration function with the version control system "Perforce" to automatically retrieve files managed by Perforce. It also includes an integration function with the typical spreadsheet software "Excel," which allows you to manage settings for waveform editing by means of tables, and to write the results of file searches in tables.
Combining these functions, it is possible to automate the entire workflow from, for example, setting waveforms managed in Perforce to volume values written in an Excel table, to implementing them in Wwise.
