New functionality to travel 55,000 km and 2,223 stations throughout China as a learning journey AI Chinese Coach PAO
Added the "longest" single stroke learning point system using actual Chinese railroad lines.
株式会社Rungar
Rungar Corporation, operator of PaoChai Online Chinese Coaching, implemented a new function, "55,000km Longest Stroke Trip Point System across China" on February 10, 2026, which visualizes the progress of Chinese language learning as a "real journey" on our AI Chinese language coach PAO.
This system is an unprecedented learning design that allows users to experience a single stroke route connecting 2,223 stations over a total distance of 55,187 km without duplication, which was constructed based on actual Chinese railroad route data, as the progress of Chinese language learning itself.

KMP Point System
System introduction page
This route map is based on publicly available information, and is our own composition to be the longest single-stroke route available in the world.
The "real" China railroad route map that can be used for actual travel
The route maps used in this system are precise route maps based on the actual line data of China National Railways (China Railways), developed by the China Railway Time Study Group.
The maps are not fictitious maps created for learning purposes, but practical level railroad maps with the following features
Covers high-speed railroads, high-speed railroads, and long-distance trunk lines
Reflects actual distance data
Realistic travel routes that take geographical constraints into account
The learning journey on AI Chinese Coach PAO can also be used as a reference for actual Chinese railroad travel. The greatest feature of this system is that it combines "learning" with "real railroad maps".
The first learning goal: 100km achievement benefit
AI Chinese Coach PAO is designed to make Chinese language learning a "journey" in which progress can be felt, rather than an "effort that does not last".
The first milestone is to reach 100km in total.
100km = approx. 20 hours at a typical study pace.
The distance is designed in such a way that it is not too strenuous, but you can feel that you have "completed the journey.
All users who reach the 100km milestone will receive a complete, one-stroke route map of the entire length of the Chinese continent.

The longest one-stroke route present
Learning Journey Starting from the Northernmost Point of China
The starting point of the learning journey is the Gulian Station located in Heilongjiang Province, the northernmost part of China.
At the 100-km point, you will reach the vicinity of Agui Er in the northern part of the same province.
Each time you progress in the study,
How far have I come in mainland China?
Where are you headed next?
and where you are headed next.
This route map is not only a proof of achievement, but also serves as a compass to guide you to your next study.
Features of the 55,000-km stroke-by-stroke travel point system throughout China
1】No duplication, 55,187km, 2,223 stations in a single stroke
The accumulation of learning will be visualized on the map as "your own personal trail" through a spectacular route connecting all of China in a single line.
2] Converting the "Law of 10,000 Hours" into the distance of the journey
The 10,000 hours required for advanced professional learning is replaced with the metaphor of 10,000 hours of learning = 55,000 km of train travel, allowing you to grasp your daily learning as a journey.
The 10,000 hours is only a guide, and there are many learners who realize results after several dozen to several hundred hours.
3] PAO's unique KMP (Kilometer Point) design
Learning activities in PAO are converted into distance as KMP.
One hour of study time: about 5 to 7 km forward (approximate)
Conversation practice, reading aloud, diary writing, and dialogue with the AI coach are covered.
Efforts are directly converted into distance traveled, naturally encouraging continued learning.

Representative Comment China Railway Time Study Group He Lok (Wang Henan Lik)
The China Railway Time Study Group is a Japanese organization that publishes the "China Railway Time Table" (Japanese edition, published twice a year, latest issue 685 pages). With the support of Rungar Corporation, we have now published "China National Railways One-stroke Routes".
The initiative to build a single-stroke route for China's national railway took shape in the past in the NHK program "Tomohiro Sekiguchi's Great Chinese Railway Journey: The Longest One-Way Route of 36,000km" (*1). The current route network has doubled in size, and the stroke-by-stroke route must have changed drastically, but there has been no subsequent attempt to construct a "stroke-by-stroke route" in the Chinese railroad hobbyist community in China. The Society has been working on the construction of a single-stroke route for the 140,000-km route network of China National Railway, the largest route network in the world for a single operator.
Generally, a single-stroke route is constructed using "graphillion," a library for Python, but the amount of calculation for the 140,000 km of China National Railway exceeded our expectations and was not feasible. Therefore, the Society decided to obtain an approximate solution. The approximate solution was obtained by a random walk (a series of routes with a high probability of being as long as possible each time a branch is encountered), resulting in a one-stroke route consisting of "55,187 km, 2223 stations". From the perspective of pursuing the pleasure of traveling from one end of China to the other, the starting point was set at "Gulian" station in Mohe County, which is famous for the Arctic Village in Heilongjiang Province, and the ending point was set at "Rikkulu" station (Shigatse), further west from Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region. This "one-stroke route" is not the "longest" (in the strict sense of the word) because an approximate solution was used instead of a theoretical solution.
Representative Comment Yasunao Tomie, Rungar Corporation
Learning Chinese is a long journey.
We created this system because we thought it would be possible to make the accumulation of daily study "visible" by depicting the journey as an actual Chinese railroad line.
The design of this system allows students to reach stations in various regions of China that they have never seen or heard of before, and to deepen their understanding of the geography and regions of China as they experience the location and extent of the land.
Your own learning becomes a railroad track, gradually connecting the Chinese continent.
We believe that such an experience will naturally encourage daily learning.
This initiative was born out of my desire to make the difficult and long-term challenge of learning Chinese more enjoyable.
The idea originated from a TV program called "Tomohiro Sekiguchi's Great Chinese Railway Journey" (*1), which had a strong influence on me.
I was fascinated by the magnificent scenery of stations and towns, the friendly and open-hearted local people, and the power of the trains running through the continent, and from there my interest in China and the Chinese language expanded greatly.
If you are learning Chinese, the sheer scale of China will surely be a driving force in your learning.
I myself intend to continue my journey of learning Chinese, using this "one-stroke journey".
Let's enjoy this 50,000 km adventure together as we gradually extend the line.
