Lien started its activities with the desire to create a children's cafeteria open to all families.

Until now, children's cafeterias have spread throughout society as a place to support poor families and orphaned children. However, as we continued our activities, we began to feel a certain sense of unease. We wondered if children who really need support are less likely to come to the children's cafeteria.

We believe that such an unconscious image may put a brake on the minds of children and their guardians. We wanted to change that atmosphere.

Lien's goal is to create a place where people can naturally drop in without any special reason. A place where busy parents can relax a little, a place where children feel like they want to go because they have fun and want to invite their friends. We aim to create a children's cafeteria that can be used as an "extension of daily life" in the community, regardless of economic status or family environment.

As part of our efforts, we offer hands-on activities such as cooking experiences and workshops where children themselves can play a leading role. We believe that the first step in creating a connection with the community is for children to feel that they belong there. Lien aims to be "a place for all children and parents.

Lien, a non-profit organization, is involved in community cleanup activities in addition to its children's cafeteria activities.

On the day of the event, many children were seen thinking for themselves, saying things like, "There might be trash here," or "Let's look under the vending machine. Younger children enjoyed the activity as if they were on a treasure hunt, while older children naturally supported the younger ones while being considerate of them. The children's interactions transcended age boundaries.

Such casual comments showed that the children were developing a sense of respect for the community.
