Marshall World Japan, Inc. (Head office: 3-3-4 Minami-Senba, Chuo-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka; Representative: Hiroshi Kurita), a trading company specializing in martial arts and fitness products, will hold its second tournament "PURSUIT JAPAN 2026 YOKOHAMA" on April 18, 2026 at the Hodogaya Public Hall in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, following "Pursuit Japan 2025 YOKOHAMA" held on November 23, 2008. In conjunction with this event, we started accepting applications on January 15.

PURSUIT JAPAN is a body makeup contest for women to compete for the healthy beauty of women who have built up their beauty through daily training and exercise habits. Under the motto of "A well-trained woman is a beautiful woman," PURSUIT JAPAN aims to discover leaders who will lead the Japanese "health" movement by practicing and communicating healthy lifestyles through body make-up.

PURSUIT JAPAN's Social Mission

Supporting women's participation in sports to solve health issues Women's bodies undergo rapid changes during their life stages (childhood, adolescence, sexual maturity, menopause, and old age), and health issues specific to women arise. Exercise is beneficial in resolving these health issues, and having an exercise routine will lead to lifelong health. Unfortunately, however, the participation rate of women in sports is still lower than that of men, especially among women in their 30s and 40s. (Sports Agency, "Public Opinion Survey on the Status of Sports Practice," FY2023)

PURSUIT JAPAN aims to make sports and training more accessible to women and to universalize the value of "a trained woman is beautiful. PURSUIT JAPAN celebrates these women and supports them in their pursuit of beauty.

We also encourage many women who have never had the opportunity to exercise to take the first step toward better health and challenge themselves, inspired by the beauty of the Pursuit athletes.

Athletes of all ages, from 18 to 65 years old, have entered this year's competition. They are fitness trainers, professional athletes, office workers, housewives raising children, etc., but they all share the same values in terms of pursuing beauty and health by incorporating training into their lifestyles.

Judging criteria emphasizing health and beauty.

In the sports world, there is a growing need to address the "Triad of Female Athletes": lack of available energy, amenorrhea, and osteoporosis. These are interrelated risks to women's health caused by intense training and inappropriate diet. In particular, because aesthetic sports are susceptible to this, Pursuit Japan prohibits athletes from developing excessive muscle tone and lean muscle mass that would compromise body balance, in keeping with the event's philosophy of solving women's health issues through physical activity.

The judging will be based on the total evaluation of healthy beauty - harmonious muscle development, healthy toned body outline, and functional body movements expressed through walking and posing, cultivated on the basis of proper exercise and balanced nutrition.
