What we want to create is "footwear that changes the scenery with sound.

The "clang, clang, clang" sound you hear when you walk down the street wearing geta. These footsteps are not just the sound of walking; they also change the air of the city and the texture of time.

In one of his essays, the great Meiji-era writer Koizumi Yakumo described the sound of clogs echoing through the streets of Japan at that time as "a cheerful, musical echo. It is a sound that blends into everyday life, yet brings out the beauty of the scenery itself. Resonating with this sensibility, we reinterpreted footwear as more than just a tool for transportation, but as an entity that connects the body, the city, and the landscape.

■Geta as an Acoustic Device for the Town

This work is built around the sturdiness and high reverberation of the mysterious "nezuko" of Kiso. The sound of footsteps echoing clear and clear with a clang in an alley or on a usual walking path. The sound comfortably shakes the senses of the wearer while blending into the everyday scenery, like walking with one's beloved dog. The deep and quiet "Indigo Dye" and "Solid" stand out for the beauty of the wood surface. Each of them adds color to the sound that plays in the city.

The sound of footsteps tells us of healthy steps

The sound of geta is very honest. The way you place your center of gravity and the habits of your footsteps are directly reflected in the sound.

Listening carefully to the sound will help you become aware of how you are walking and your unconscious body movements. As the sound changes, the way you walk will also naturally change. It is not a forced correction, but rather the body's own search for a comfortable balance in accordance with the rhythm guided by the sound.

Traditional Shapes and Designs

We have fused the traditional "double-toothed geta," in which craftsmen's skills are still alive, with modern sensibilities. They are comfortable to wear and provide a beautiful walking posture.

Special attention to the nose strap

A vintage-inspired "brown cotton denim" is used. The mae tsubo (front base) and the back of the snare strap are made of high-quality leather (brown or white) that feels good against the skin, giving the shoes a sophisticated look.

Rare "tootsubo" tailoring

This is a traditional technique that has become rare in the modern world. The robust and dignified appearance created by the handwork of skilled craftsmen is appealing.

Finishing options

Two types of finishes are available: the deep and quiet "Indigo dyed" finish and the "Solid (no dyeing)" finish with the beautiful grain of Kiso nezuko wood.

This work is produced by relaying the handiwork of skilled craftsmen in various parts of Japan. Since we carefully make our products according to the production capacity of our craftsmen, the number of products produced per year is limited.

Also, we do not make "footwear to be consumed. All parts of these clogs are repairable and replaceable. While maintaining the rubber of the nose ring and clog teeth, they grow and change in sound and expression with the time of the wearer. We value these clogs as footwear that will continue to accompany people's lives without fading away as time goes by.

OEM and special orders for corporate and brand-related customers are also available.
