Manga artist Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia," a.k.a. "Hero Academia," has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014, and its popularity has not diminished since its serialization ended in August 2024. The series opened in Tokyo in June last year. The "Kohei Horikoshi 'My Hero Academia' Original Drawings Exhibition" that opened in Tokyo last June was a great success, with tickets sold out for the Osaka venue that followed. The exhibition has now made its first appearance in the Kyushu area. The exhibition will be held at Fukuoka Mitsukoshi from April 11 (Sat) to June 14 (Sun).
This exhibition commemorates the conclusion of the "My Hero Academia" manga series and looks back over its 10-year history.
Through the manuscripts written by Horikoshi, visitors will be able to relive the "story of how everyone became the best heroes" spun by the main character, Deku aka Midoriya Izuhisa, and the other characters in the manga. The greatest highlight of the exhibition will be a collection of valuable production materials, which will be shown on the largest scale ever, with the full cooperation of Mr. Horikoshi. The overwhelming power of the artist's drawings, and the valuable exhibits created in the process of completing the manuscript, which can only be seen here, are a must-see.
In addition, Mr. Horikoshi himself will also share his own secret stories and commentary on his works.

◆Introduction of the work: "My Hero Academia" (Boku no Hero Akademia)
In a world where everyone has some kind of supernatural ability or "personality". Heroes, who protect people and society from accidents and disasters, and stand up against criminals and enemies (villains) who abuse their "individuality," have become the object of admiration among people. The hero, Midoriya Deku (a.k.a. Deku), who had no "personality" at all, was discovered by the No. 1 hero, All Might, to have the hidden qualities of a hero. He inherits the "One for All" personality. After hard work, he enrolls in the prestigious hero training school, Yuei High School, and the story of his quest to become the "best hero" begins. The series has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide (as of March 2025) (including digital editions), and has been the subject of much media mixing, including a TV anime series, an animated film version, a video game adaptation, and a stage adaptation. In May 2025, a fan book will be released, and in June, the first art book will be released.
