New accommodation plan to enjoy the "Michinoku Shiokaze Trail" Oshima Course is born!

Primitive Think Inc. (President: Hirohisa Saito) is offering a new experience lodging plan at "Glamping & Camping CAMELLIA Kesennuma Oshima" (Location: 245-2 Nakayama, Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture), which is operated in Kesennuma Oshima, Miyagi Prefecture, that combines the Oshima course of the Michinoku Shiokaze Trail, a long trail that cuts through the Tohoku Pacific coast. The plan includes both trekking and glamping accommodations.

The "Michinoku Shiokaze Trail" is a long trail course of more than 1,000km that traverses the Pacific coast of Tohoku (Aomori to Fukushima), which is maintained by the Ministry of the Environment. This course allows trekkers to enjoy the dynamic scenery and diverse and beautiful nature of the Pacific Ocean, including the beautiful Rias coastline and cliffs!

In this plan, you will experience trekking on the Oshima Course (about 6 km), where you can also enjoy unknown spots in "Kesennuma Oshima" in Miyagi Prefecture, which is also a part of the course. We recommend this tour for trekking beginners as well, as you will walk with an experienced backpacker guide.

Dinner will be served by our staff. The next morning's breakfast will be served as a set the day before and can be enjoyed by guests at the BBQ grill.

He is a veteran guide with 15 years of experience and loves "traveling, walking and running in the destination.

<Brief personal history

Born in Kesennuma City in 1977.

After retiring from a hotel in Sendai City in 2007, he embarked on a round-the-world trip.

In 2010, he joined Kesennuma Tourism Convention Association (now Kesennuma City Tourism Association), where he has been engaged in guide-related business for 15 years.

In 2025, he will start his guiding business under the name of "PASEO".

Accommodation Plan Rates

Reservations are required (Plan A is available from 3 persons up to 7 days prior to the stay, Plan B is available from 2 persons up to 3 days prior to the stay).

Plan A: 3 persons: Adult (junior high school student or older): 26,600 yen (tax included) (Total: 79,800 yen or more)

For 4 persons: Adult (junior high school student or older): From ￥23,600 (tax included) (Total: ￥94,400 and up)

＜Plan B

Double occupancy: Adult (junior high school student or older): From ￥24,000 per person (tax incl.) (Total ￥48,000 and up)

Three-person use: Adult (junior high school student or older): From ￥20,000 (tax incl.) (Total ￥60,000 and up)

4-person use: Adult (junior high school student or older): ¥17,000～ (total ¥68,000～)

Dome Tent "Sea": ¥500 extra per person. Additional charge will be added on the day before a holiday and during specified periods.

For group reservations of 10 or more persons, an additional guide fee of 6,000 yen (tax included) will be charged.

Notes

The trekking tour may be cancelled at short notice due to inclement weather on the day of the tour (light rain will be permitted). In such cases, the difference will be refunded according to the accommodation plan and the number of guests. Please note that no refunds will be made for cancellations made on the day of the trek for your convenience.

Please follow the guide's instructions and take care of your health and safety at your own risk.

We can also arrange for you to purchase travel insurance (extra charge: 500 yen per person).

If you wish to purchase insurance, please let us know at the time of reservation. However, please note that it may not be possible to purchase this insurance due to insurance company holidays or other procedural reasons. Please understand this in advance.

The 6km trekking course in the nature has several slopes and stairs to climb and descend.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothes (the course may be changed on the day of the tour depending on the conditions). We also recommend that you bring your own beverages and drink plenty of water.
