[12/12] World-renowned flamenco guitarist Jin Oki will perform at a special event with guests in a beautiful setting, A special day of flamenco guitarist Jin Oki and his guests in a hall with beautiful acoustics.

In 2010, Oki became the first Asian to win the international category of the 5th Concurso Internacional de Guitarra Flamenca ‘Niño Ricardo' held in Spain, and since then, he has been active in the forefront of flamenco guitar, appearing in numerous media, composing, and performing. The guest for the Matinee will be Saigenji (guitar & vocal).

Saigenji has been a friend of Oki's since his indie days, and also participated as a guest on Oki's major debut album.

Saigenji, who expresses his unique world with his overwhelming performance, will perform with Oki on a jointly written song "Spring news" and a cover of Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song".

Guest for the evening will be Miyuki Hatakeyama (singer-songwriter).

While they have a long history of interaction, including participating in Oki's albums and providing songs, this is actually the first time they have performed together one-on-one.

They will perform Hatakeyama's song "Reflection," which she composed while staying at a pension run by Oki's parents, Miyuki Nakajima's "Kamome wa Kamome," Oki's "Will i ever seen your face again," and others.

Performer Profile

Jin Oki

Fascinated by flamenco guitar, Oki studied flamenco guitar in earnest while traveling back and forth between Spain and Japan, won the Encouragement Prize at the 1997 Japan Flamenco Association Newcomer Performance, made his major label debut in 2006, and in 2010 became the first Japanese to win the International Competition for Flamenco Guitar in Spain. In 2010, he became the first Japanese to win first prize in the international flamenco guitar competition in Spain, and appeared on TBS's "Jounetsu Tairiku," which closely followed his performance. Since then, he has been active in many fields, including publishing flamenco guitar instructional books and providing single songs to EXILE. In addition to his solo performances, he has collaborated with top artists of various genres from around the world and performed with orchestras, ballet, nagauta, and Noh. He is a board member of the Japan Flamenco Association.

Saigenji

Saigenji is a singer-songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist who creates music that transcends borders and genres, taking in all kinds of music from soul, jazz, and hiphop. He freely manipulates voice, guitar, flute, and percussion, and his performances, backed by his outstanding technique and sense of style, are breathtaking. In addition to his own solo work, he has provided featured vocals for MONDO GROSSO, Rabo Tomita, FPM, and others, songs for Emi Tawada, bird, and others, the opening song for J-WAVE Saudi Saudade, soundtrack songs for movies and anime, and many other activities. He has also performed overseas and at many outdoor festivals.

Miyuki Hatakeyama

Singer/songwriter. After working with Double Famous and Port of Notes, she made her major solo debut in 2001. In addition to her own live performances, she has participated in many other artists' works, tribute albums, film music, and TV commercial songs. She has collaborated and performed with Yumi Matsutoya, Takashi Matsumoto, Labo Tomita, Kirinji, Taeko Onuki, Lily Frankie, Aki Yashiro, Sergio Mendes, Grammy-winning producer Jesse Harris, Yoko Ono, and many other artists. She is a Minato Kesennuma Ambassador, a Miyagi Kizuna Ambassador. She is also a DJ for FM Yokohama's "Travelin' Light".
