Miyako Entertainment Corporation (Location: 3-19-2 Kaigan, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masayuki Shimozato) will open a new sensory entertainment facility on the 5th floor of Passaggio, 525-1 Higashiogamachi, Takoyakushi Shimoru, Shinkyogoku, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto, where you can experience the tradition and power of sumo with all five senses. The facility will open on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. This will be the first "Sumo Activity" in Kyoto, and will offer powerful performances by sumo wrestlers, as well as chanko-nabe and other dishes related to sumo. In addition, the restaurant will also offer a "Sumo Activity" for the first time in Kyoto, featuring a powerful performance by sumo wrestlers, chanko-nabe (chanko-nabe) and other dishes related to sumo. This is a one-of-a-kind space where visitors can enjoy a meal and a sumo experience at the same time, while feeling the tradition, power, and spirit of sumo close at hand.

Rikishi
The most distinctive feature of this facility is that visitors can enjoy a full-fledged "sumo experience," which is becoming increasingly popular, especially among foreign tourists. Visitors can watch up-close the live performances of sumo wrestlers, such as their fighting matches and kata demonstrations, which are usually difficult to see during normal sightseeing tours. In addition, visitors can actually step into the ring to compete with rikishi and experience the basic movements of sumo.

The ring
In addition, the meal will include "chanko-nabe" and other dishes that have been popular in sumo stables. The menu is designed to allow guests to enjoy the food culture of sumo wrestlers and to feel the story behind sumo as well as the flavor. As an entertainment combining performance and dining, we aim to become a new option for sightseeing in Kyoto.

The flexible timetable makes it easy to visit according to your sightseeing schedule and can be used for lunch, café time, and dinner. Since the restaurant will operate year-round, it will be easily accessible even during limited hours during a stay in Kyoto, making it a highly convenient spot for inbound tourists.
The Shinkyogoku area of Kyoto, where the store is located, is Kyoto's most popular shopping district, visited by many tourists from Japan and abroad. In addition to its easy accessibility, the area is densely packed with sightseeing, shopping, and dining spots, making it a location that can be easily integrated into the sightseeing route.
