R&I Company Limited and Kaneko Kikaku LLC, a limited liability company headquartered in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture (Head office: 3-25-5-601, Mishino-cho, Nishi-ku, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture 733-0003, Representative: Kenji Kaneko), have signed a franchise agreement to launch the "Hokkaido Fresh Tailored Dough" on December 15, 2025 (Monday). The new store will be located in the parking lot of the Yume Mall Saijo Store, 1189-1, Sukemi, Saijo, Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Produced by the food consulting group "hanninmae," the store will be the 34th "Milked Drake" store in Japan (8 in Hokkaido and 26 outside of Hokkaido).
The "Lemon Mascarpone" (420 yen) is also sold as a limited item at the Higashi-Hiroshima store.
Fresh cream from Hokkaido is blended with rich Mascarpone cheese from Italy and mild lemon juice with little astringency. It delivers a noble acidity and a pleasant mouthfeel.
The brand uses raw milk from farms in Mifuka-cho, Hokkaido, and other parts of Hokkaido, with the goal of contributing to the development of Hokkaido's primary industry and the creation of a sixth industry. We also form alliances with other companies in Hokkaido to realize integrated production, processing, and sales. This enables us to provide products that are cheaper, faster, and fresher. About "Milked Drake
The first store in Hokkaido specializing in fresh doughnuts opened in Sapporo on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, and has been featured in the media and on social networking sites, with customers lining up every day to get their doughnuts.
Unlike conventional doughnuts, "raw doughnuts" have a texture that disappears in your mouth and is so soft that it almost crumbles when you hold it in your hand. The doughnut's round shape is so cute that many people are posting it on social networking sites, making it a trendy sweet in Hokkaido.
Milked Drake's raw doughnuts feature a moist and smooth dough made mainly from flour from Tokachi, Hokkaido's magnificent land, with plenty of eggs and butter. Pasteurized milk grown on a farm in Hokkaido, which does not use preservatives, gives the dough a rich, sweet taste. The cream is made from fresh milk from the Nekushiro region of Hokkaido, and various flavored creams are prepared based on the rich fresh cream. The cake is deep-fried at high temperature to make the outside crispy and the inside melt in your mouth like fresh cream. A total of 11 flavors are available, including 10 regular menu items such as pure fresh whip, homemade custard, and chocolatey nut, as well as store-specific items.
