Hisashi Gomei of Gomei Kinpaku Kogei, a craftsman who uses only rimmed gold leaf, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, has started a crowdfunding campaign in Kyoto, the birthplace of gold leaf in Japan, for rimmed gold leaf and his own survival.
In conclusion, we would be more than happy if this crowdfunding would make people aware of "Gomei, the rimmed gold leaf" and increase attention and requests, and we are truly seeking orders for gold leaf processing.
In particular, return gifts can be selected from golden bamboo bark, which can only be found in high-class restaurants, top-quality masking tape, and a special course to finish the client's work in gold.
Gomei Kinpaku Kogei has worked on many gold-colored works, including the bronze tiles of Osaka Castle, the Gion Festival, and the Isetan Mitsukoshi statue of a celestial maiden, but we believe that the majority of people do not know about the achievements of our craftsmen.
Therefore, we, as craftsmen, have taken the plunge and launched this project to develop the market and expand our business.

Gomei Kinpaku Kogei, which has been processing and decorating only rimmed gold leaf for 70 years in Kyoto, the birthplace of Japan's only handmade "rimmed gold leaf," a material recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage, has been developing new markets and expanding its business in the face of the current situation with no recovery in sight after the Corona disaster and the rising price of gold. In order to preserve the materials of our specialized techniques, we have decided to raise funds through crowdfunding.
