Japanese chestnuts are carefully cooked to bring out the flavor of the ingredients themselves, and the resulting zenzai has a gentle sweetness and a soft texture. When you put it in your mouth, the original flavor of chestnuts spreads softly, reminding you of the coming of autumn.
The chestnuts are complemented by Eirakuya's unique smooth white bean paste and chestnut paste. The moderate sweetness harmonizes the natural aroma of Japanese chestnuts in an elegant way.
In addition, the handmade shiratama (white bean curd), which is made by craftsmen one by one, is soft and chewy, and its elasticity and soft texture are appealing. You will enjoy the gentle yet deep flavor that colors the autumn in Kyoto.
Eirakuya is pleased to offer this year's limited-edition chestnut zenzai again, with the hope that you will stop for a moment in your busy daily life and taste it while feeling the atmosphere of Kyoto.

Chestnut yokan is made from red beans produced in Tokachi, Hokkaido, and half-shelled chestnuts.
The top part of the yokan is hardened with glossy agar to preserve the color and appearance of the chestnuts.
The aroma of azuki beans and the presence of chestnuts can be fully appreciated. It is a very popular seasonal gift.

Company Profile
Eirakuya
Eirakuya was established in 1946. We deal in both sweet (Kyoto sweets) and savory (Kyoto tsukudani).
Although seemingly a relative combination, both are food colorings that go well with "tea and rice," which are indispensable for Japanese people.
Each has its own signature products, such as "Kohaku," an agar confectionery that is particular about its beauty, and "Hitotokuchi Shiitake," a tsukudani made from domestically grown log shiitake mushrooms.
