Jebec Jol, a raw honey specialty store from the Kyrgyz Republic operated by Kobutasha Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yokichi Nobuta, certified instructor of the Japan Honey Meister Association), will participate in the 5th Honeybee Summit 2025 to be held at the Tsukuba International Congress Center from November 22 (Saturday) to 24 (Monday) (committee chair: Tomoyuki Yokoi, University of Tsukuba), which will be held at the Tsukuba International Congress Center from Saturday, March 1 to Sunday, March 24 (national holiday).

This event is a festival of honey bees where researchers, beekeepers, and related organizations of honey bees and honey-related fields from Japan and abroad gather to engage in friendly competition. In the paid admission area, there will be a symposium with valuable research presentations that can only be heard here, a national student beekeeping summit, a display and sale of beekeeping equipment that those who want to try beekeeping should not miss, and a wide variety of honeybee seminars. Admission starts at 1,500 yen for a one-day ticket.

There is a growing interest in beekeeping as a hobby for those who want to experience the workings of nature and life.

Honey is also gaining popularity as an organic and healthy food.

On the other hand, it is said that the number of honeybees is decreasing, which makes it impossible to pollinate crops and makes the future of food insecure.
