JPAAWG, a Japanese industry organization working against network security threats, will hold its 8th annual conference "JPAAWG General Meeting" on Tuesday, November 4 and Wednesday, November 5.
The 8th "JPAAWG General Meeting
This conference is held in cooperation with M3AAWG, a global organization of more than 230 network operators and security vendors from 30 countries around the world, and invites key figures in the core security field. The event provides an opportunity to obtain the latest industry and technology trends that cannot be obtained elsewhere, to directly talk with experts and advanced users from Japan and abroad, and to exchange live information and know-how across industry boundaries with other personnel who are facing security issues in the field of operation and development.

About JPAAWG General Meeting
The JPAAWG General Meeting is characterized by the opportunity for not only security experts and researchers, but also personnel facing security issues at various operational and development sites to exchange live information and know-how across industry boundaries.
JPAAWG is also the Japan Region of the global organization M3AAWG (Maag), and visitors from M3AAWG will share the latest global information. since the first meeting in 2018, the number of applications for participation has exceeded capacity, and the event has gained recognition as an annual security event.
The third Corona Disaster in 2020 will be held online, and from 2021 onward, the event will be a hybrid of real venue and online, increasing the number of local participants. In order to expand the benefits of face-to-face direct conversation, information exchange, and human networking beyond the Tokyo metropolitan area, the main venue is selected to be a hybrid venue in a regional area starting with the 5th event in 2022. (Nagasaki in 2022, Kanazawa in 2023, Sapporo in 2024, and Kochi in 2025)

JPAAWG (Japan Anti-Abuse Working Group, JPAAWG, Chairman: Shuji Sakuraba) has established the M3AAAWG (Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group) to combat various network threats that threaten the healthy development of the Internet and other telecommunications environments. JPAWG provides information and alerts to promote accurate understanding among Internet users and operators, and examines technical and institutional measures based on an accurate understanding of future trends. Like the M3AAAWG, JPAAWG will study countermeasures against various threats on the Internet, with a focus on messaging security. The JPAAWG aims to work in cooperation with various organizations, including the M3AAWG.
